Hays is a 2023 model 15.2h draft cross gelding with an athletic build and the most gorgeous blonde locks. This golden boy was not only gifted in the looks department, but was born with the kind of steady mind that allows him to be successful in any new situation or discipline. He is gentle on the ground, with very nice manners. He is confident in the saddle and knows how to move his body around nicely. He already has quite a stop on him and he neck reins, side passes and backs with ease. He will W/T/C circles all day without complaint and willingly do anything you ask of him.

He also loves attention and is always at the fence, ready for connection and snuggles.

Hays is broke to ride English and Western. He will ride in a snaffle on the buckle or bareback in a halter. He is soft and supple. We typically do not train our youngsters over the jumps, but will let them pop over once or twice to test their willingness and Hays loved it. He has a natural aptitude and enthusiasm for jumping and is an excellent future fox hunting or hunter/jumper prospect.

At the ranch and out on the trails, Hays is quiet and uncomplicated. He will cross the water and the logs, and seems to enjoy being out in nature, taking in the sights. He would make a solid, trustworthy trail partner.

Hays stands still to be mounted, loads on the trailer like a dream, stands like a rock for the farrier or for a long bath. He can carry the flag and kick the ball - he handles the tarps and training tools like he’s been doing it for decades. He doesn’t bat an eye at anything new we ask of him - he’s a good, honest horse.
